St. Charles Youth Group
Empowering Teens to be Disciples of Christ and Beacons of Light in the Darkness
St. Charles Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings:
Mass - 5:30 PM
Dinner - 6:45 PM
Meeting - 7:15 PM to 8:30 PM
St Charles Youth Group sessions are based on the nationally recognized LifeTeen program. LifeTeen is a comprehensive Youth Group program within the Roman Catholic Church that leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as intercessor and guide, LifeTeen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.
Our goals for the St. Charles Youth Group:
Goal 1: To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
Goal 2: To draw our young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community.
Goal 3: To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
To accomplish these goals we make sure to reach out to teens on four levels: spiritual, emotional, social, and educational. Each session we enjoy social time with fellowship over a free meal. After our meal, we move into our Life Night which may be comprised of a relevant social issue, an educational teaching, or simply having fun!
Regardless of the subject of the Life Night, our objective is to include teens in an interactive way through music, skits, service projects, and other group activities. We truly believe that teens are eager to hear the Truth and open to God's loving message in a fun and open environment.
