The Funeral Ministry is one of the most important ways that St. Charles Borromeo Parish supports a family at the time of the loss of a loved one. The Church wishes to accompany those who are grieving and to show the Light of the Risen Christ to those whose hearts are broken.  The parish embraces those who are mourning and gives direction for ceremonies to thank God for the deceased’s life and to hold family and friends close in prayer.

Are you being called to serve in this ministry?

There is a need in our parish for help with our funeral liturgies.  Our volunteers serve grieving families by meeting with the family and assisting in planning their loved one’s funeral, welcoming guests, distributing Mass programs, serving as Lectors, Ushers, and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion during the Funeral Mass.
