Confirmation
Through Confirmation, the Sacrament of the Holy Spirit, Christ strengthens us to evangelize through our holy lives and words. This Sacrament continues the work of the Spirit that began in our lives at our Baptism. For high school students, Confirmation completes their initiation into the Catholic Church.

Note: First Year Confirmation Sessions began on Sunday, September 10th. It's not too late to register. First Year Confirmation students meet during Youth Group on Sunday Evenings. You can download the registration forms below.

2023 - 2024 Confirmation Preparation
In the Diocese of Venice, Confirmation preparation must include two years of participation in a systematic Faith Formation program along with preparation classes that explain the Sacrament of Confirmation. First and second year Confirmation preparation normally takes place during the 9th and 10th grade years, but older high school students are also welcome to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. At St. Charles Borromeo Parish, the Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated with the Bishop during the Fall.
The Diocese also requires those preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation to perform service hours, write a saint report, send a letter to the Bishop, choose a qualified Sponsor, and study and understand the Diocese of Venice Confirmation Study Guide. You can find the links for the forms required, as well as the study guide, below.
At St. Charles Borromeo Parish, the first year of systematic Faith Formation is provided though attendance in our Youth Group (September through May), or students in Catholic high school may substitute high school religion classes. Parents must register their youth in Youth Group using the forms provided below.
Because the reception of the Sacraments must be completed at the parish level, these Confirmation preparation sessions must be attended by all second year Confirmation candidates, even those who attend Catholic School. The first session is a mandatory meeting for parents and candidates.
