IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Beginning this Sunday, May 17th, at 12:00 Noon, you will have the opportunity to receive Holy Communion at St. Charles. We will distribute Communion until everyone has received.

General Rules for Receiving Holy Communion During the Pandemic:

Enter through the Narthex main doors of the Church. A staff member will be available to assist you. After you receive Holy Communion, exit immediately out the side entrances of the Church by following the blue arrows. Do NOT exit through the Narthex.

Everyone entering the church must wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, there are numerous websites with instructions on how you can make a simple mask. If anyone has masks in original packaging that they would like to donate, we will happily accept them. In addition, if you are able to make cloth masks, we will be accepting those, as well.

Everyone must sanitize their hands before entering the Church, either with your own hand sanitizer (which we prefer) or at one of the sanitizing stations near the entrance. Or, if you prefer, wear gloves.

You may only receive Communion passively on your hand, not on your tongue. Please do not attempt to take the Host from the priest, and do not cup your hand like a basket. Keep your hand as flat as possible. The priest will then attempt to place the Host on your hand without touching you.

You may be asked to wait before entering the Church due to the number of people ahead of you.

If you are sick, experiencing the slightest of symptoms, or are at greater risk of becoming seriously ill because of a previous condition, or if you live, work, have been or will be exposed to anyone who fits this description, we strongly urge you to pray at home, rather than at church. This precaution is for your own safety as well as for that of your family, friends and fellow parishioners.

Although staff will be sanitizing the church and bathrooms regularly, we ask that you
do not touch anything in the church unless it is necessary.

May we each take responsibility to exercise the utmost care to protect ourselves and others. Please be mindful that safeguarding our own and each other’s health offers reverent service to God, as Jesus says, whatever we do for the least of our brothers or sisters, we do for Him.

(Live Chat will be available during the live-stream.  You can also participate in the live chat on our Youtube Channel.

Prayer for Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

Coronavirus Prayers

Father, shine your light of Mercy upon your people by protecting us from the coronavirus,

and healing all of those who are afflicted with it. Father, we offer this prayer to you

in the name of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen.

Father, we ask that you give all of those serving on the frontlines of our war with the

Coronavirus, especially our health care professionals, wisdom and understanding,

and strength and courage to serve the cause of protecting and saving life.

We ask this in the name of Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen.
